BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Chipinaw and Silver Lake are traditional co-ed Residential Summer Camps located in the Catskill Mountains of New York, 2 hours NW of NYC. Established in 1926, Chipinaw offers a wide variety of arts, sports, adventure, and water activities for campers interested in a full summer camp (7 Weeks). Silver Lake, started in 2004, offers the same experience but with two half-summer sessions. Our campers and staff come from across the country and around the world to be part of a thrilling summer experience.

Skatepark, Cooking, Lacrosse, Spinning, Circus, Water Sports, Mountain Boarding, Radio, Hockey, Ropes Course, Archery, & Much More.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located 2 hours NW of New York City in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
CAMP FACILITIES: Chipinaw is on 200 acres of beautiful landscape. It features a brand new state of the art gymnastics center, 5 basketball courts, 12 tennis courts, a newly renovated hockey rink, an olympic style pool, a 96 acre privately owned lake, a two story arts & crafts center, newly built computer and digital media lab, a circus, horseback stables, and much more.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Welcome to the spirit of summer, welcome to Camp Chipinaw. It is our hope that you will enjoy exploring our website as you learn all about our summer home. Chipinaw was built specifically as a summer camp for boys in 1926, and 12 years later the girls campus was added. Since that time, Chipinaw has become one of the finest traditional camps in the United States. Your experience at Chipinaw will be a perfect blend of Chipinaw's rich history and traditions along with all the latest and greatest facilities and activities that one would expect from a superior summer camp. We welcome boys and girls age 7 through 16 to join us for a summer of Fun, Friends, Sports, Arts and Adventure.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Our summer camp is only as good as the staff it hires. That is why we search the globe for the most experienced and enthusiastic staff members we can find. From England to Australia and California to Maine, our staff consists of about fifteen different nations and over twenty states. Everyone comes together with one goal in mind; to make sure our campers have the best summer of their lives!
We are looking for general counselors, specialist counselors, leadership positions, and support staff for the upcoming summer. General counselors spend the day with their division of campers; guiding, supporting, and supervising them as they go from activity to activity.
As a specialist, you concentrate on a specific area, passing on your knowledge to our campers to ensure they are learning or mastering that skill. The leadership roles we fill each summer range from department heads and group leaders to medical staff and office assistants. Lastly, our support staff members work behind the scenes as kitchen staff, maintenance workers, groundskeepers, and housekeepers to ensure the day to day operations of camp are handled.
Generally, most of our counselors are aged between nineteen and twenty-five, while our leadership staff are over twenty-five and have worked their way up the camp ladder. For a complete list, view our staff positions.
